Black cigars Valdescaro Torpedo are hand made in Honduras with premium Cuban-seed Habano tobacco grown in the Jamastran Valley of Honduras. The wrapper is a dark and rich Criollo that is almost black. With a smooth and rich medium-bodied taste, you will sense the mild spices, earthy notes, toasted nuts and cocoa from the start to the finish. It's a cigar that was made for the highly demanding cigar connoisseur in Europe, but we were fortunate enough to get a few boxes. Since the tobacco from our farm is in such high demand, we traded some of our tobacco for these Oscuro black cigars and are passing the savings on to you. Each Torpedo is 6 1/8 inches long and have a ring gauge of 52. 20 are hand packed in a cedar box.

Valdescaro cigars are very popular in Spain and in other European countries. They are hand made in Honduras and have those qualities that allow them to compete against the higher priced Cubans. Since all the tobacco used to make them come from the maker's own farms, only the best leaves are selected. Extensive fermentation and special curing processes give the wrappers the Oscuro, almost black color.

MEDIUM BODIED: They have a smooth and rich medium-bodied tobacco taste with mild spices and earthy notes. As you smoke it you will sense the toasted nut undertones and cocoa breezes.

Customer Reviews

Subject :: Valdescaro

Color: not black, but maduro color constuction: good draw: too light smoke: thin, not thick or billious taste: very tasty, because it was enhanced by something other than 100% maduro tobacco it seems, there's a sticky resin like texture when you touch where it gets wet and a slight stain it leaves behind, not sure if it's natural effects of its fermentation or if something was added overall, not a bad smoke for the price, especially for beginners, but i'm still a bit skeptical because of the light stain...

Subject :: good smoke

Excellent cigar, great burn and flavor. I better stock up before they are all gone!!

Subject ::

Cigars are not as dark as pictured,not even close to black as advertized.Seems more like Don Quijote Lancero color of cigar.Well built and packed.

Subject :: Just Average

I'm not sure what I expected when I bought these but I was slightly disapointed. These cigars looked good, tasted good, but does not burn good. It keeps going out and having to puff on it constantly and not getting much smoke makes me dizzy. Maybe I just got a bad box but unless you know how to do something I don't, your money will be better spent buying one of the other offers this company has to offer. Woodworker
